Rust DMA firmware: check the complete setup.

Rust is within SwiftDMA's listed game scope for rDMA+. Compatibility is assessed for your motherboard, BIOS, Windows version, second PC, connection, and intended software. Include the Rust server or mode you plan to use so the enquiry describes your actual setup.

What is the rDMA+ approach for Rust?

rDMA+ uses custom BIOS firmware prepared for a compatible gaming-PC motherboard. That PC connects to a second computer through a network or directly by Ethernet. The approach does not need a separate DMA card; it still needs both computers and compatible companion software.

The rDMA+ package includes the gaming-PC installer and uninstaller, second-PC launcher, LeechCore compatibility, and setup assistance. Separate game-software licences are not part of the order. A firmware purchase and a complete Rust software setup are different purchases to clarify before paying.

Why does Rust's EAC environment matter?

Facepunch maintains an Easy Anti-Cheat support section for Rust. It covers several different error categories, including authentication, integrity, and service issues. An error mentioning EAC identifies a part of the environment, not a diagnosis of your firmware.

Rust and another EAC game should not be treated as a single compatibility target. Name Rust and the exact separate software in your enquiry. The EAC firmware explanation covers the broader terminology without assuming all EAC games share the same requirements.

Do Rust servers require Secure Boot and TPM?

Facepunch's guidance, updated September 11, 2026, describes a phased rollout: selected servers use TPM and Secure Boot requirements and show a “secure” tag, with the timeline for a later global phase to be communicated through development updates. Check Facepunch's current requirements for your situation.

SwiftDMA states that Secure Boot and IOMMU can stay enabled on supported configurations. That does not replace Rust's requirements or establish support for every server. Include the relevant server context and your current security settings in the compatibility check; do not infer the settings from an old guide.

What should I prepare before ordering Rust firmware?

  • The full motherboard model, installed BIOS version, and gaming-PC Windows version.
  • Second-PC specifications and the network connection available on both PCs.
  • The intended Rust environment, including any security requirement shown for the server.
  • The name of the separate software and any existing hardware you want to reuse.
  • Any planned motherboard, BIOS, or Windows changes before setup.

Send those details in a private ticket using the rDMA+ compatibility checklist. Keep the original BIOS available; staff request the file needed to prepare your firmware.

Can a Rust or Windows update affect the assessment?

The assessment describes the configuration you supplied. If the game, BIOS, Windows installation, network arrangement, or separate software changes, tell support what changed. Do not assume the original answer covers an unspecified replacement or a later version.

For a problem, record whether it occurs during game launch, connection to a server, or the companion setup, together with the exact message and date. This makes it easier to distinguish an ordinary Rust support issue from a question about the firmware order. It does not require you to diagnose or modify the anti-cheat system.

What does Rust firmware support include?

Setup assistance is included. The firmware warranty starts on receipt and lasts three months: report a firmware failure within that period for investigation and repair or replacement at no additional charge. Firmware access continues after coverage ends.

Failures reported within the three months are handled under the firmware warranty, including failures noticed after a Rust update. The coverage does not promise compatibility indefinitely or determine an account outcome. Facepunch's sources explain Rust requirements; they do not validate SwiftDMA.
